Over the past week we learned how robots use sensors and software to engage with the real world. Our counsellors, Austin, Benjamin and Brittany, created a learning zone that was as much fun as it was playful. Kids explored robot navigation, engineering and design while running their creations through mazes and obstacle courses. We created take-home artwork that was drawn by computer code. Kids also wrote original code to control the behavior of their 'bots. Here are just a few of our amazing creations!
Our Sr. Tech Campers spent the week learning to write web code in HTML. Just what is the difference between an <h1> and an <h3> tag? What's a <div> used for, and just how do we create a hot-link? Your kids know. Just ask them! In order to learn basic web coding, each of our campers created their own web pages from scratch! Some told stories, others shared hobbies or cheered for their favorite sports teams. Each of our campers' web sites reflects curiosity, initiative and a commitment to learning new things. Congratulations to our Sr. Tech Campers on the lanuch of their first web sites.
